Youth For The Nations Worship

Youth For The Nations

Though the music of Christ For The Nations has impacted the world for over 40 years, it has been in recent years that their youth worship team, Youth For The Nations Worship, has exploded. Youth For The Nations is officially a summer youth camp where over 5,000 teenagers and youth pastors come to be impacted by the power of Christ. The youth worship team was birthed several years ago and has been ministering in all over the world at youth and college gatherings, bringing the reality of Christ to countless searching people. Their fresh sound of melodic, modern rock mixed with catapulting worship has pushed them to the forefront of the best worship music for this generation. Under the leadership of Kristian Baker, this band is a powerhouse of talent, passion, and zeal for purity in the presence of God, ushering young people into heartfelt adoration for Jesus Christ.

Youth For The Nations has released their fourth LIVE worship album entitled Can't Be Silent this year. This album has a fresh sound for this generation and includes all new songs, most written by the band. The album comes with a bonus DVD of the live recording as well.

Youth For The Nations’ first LIVE and best-selling worship album, Nothing Compares, brings a refreshing new sound that centers on the art of connection. Nothing Compares connects a strong, rock/alternative sound with the bass-thumping passion of hip-hop, while driving its listeners with positive lyrics and creative musicianship which ministers to the core of teenagers and college students across America. This YFN worship project is packed with vibrant energy and a touch of hip-hop that will dare you to refrain from swaying.

Youth For The Nations has long drawn its worship leaders from the deep and talented pool of songwriters discovered in its Youth For The Nations ministry. This includes worship leaders and songwriters Casey Mitchell, Matt Duhon, Brendon Edwards and Kristian Baker, and will continue to impact this generation for Christ.

  Meet The Band
My name is Kristian Baker and I was born in Great Falls, Montana on December 21, 1987.  I grew up in the northwest mostly in Oregon.  I moved to the great state of Texas at the age of 12 and loved every minute of it.  I have been leading worship since the age of 14, as well music has been I vital part of my life since I can’t remember.  My influences are Jesus Culture, Matt Gilman, Hillsong United, Matt Duhon as well as many others.  My heart though is to lead a generation in the presence of our Holy God, for them to have a deeper understanding of who He is, and understand how much He loves us.

I am Mary Dodd and I’m a lover, not a fighter.  I’m a silly person sometimes, but the Lord loves me that way.  I like to dance, even thought I’m pretty terrible at it.  I’ve been in love with music since I could talk and have been singing since I was seven years old.  My influences include Kim Walker, John Mark and Sara McMillan, U2 and Phil Wickham along with many others.  I’ve been walking hand in hand with the creator of the universe for awhile now and I fall more in love with Him everyday.

My name is Monika Robertson, I am 19 years old, and currently reside in the fast rising town of Burleson Texas. I play piano and snyth for “Regeneration” which has been an incredible experience. This is my second year to do “YFN” and I find myself excelling in passion with every semester I complete, a passion that deeply burns for this generation. I love God with all my heart and hope to use this passion to ignite a generation with the fire of His love.

Weird Fact:

I absolutely love westerns. John Wayne is the man. Give me a Saturday with a good western and some chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, and I will be your most loyal friend.

My name is Aaron Allen and I am from Dallas, Texas.  I started learning guitar from my father when I was 13, but didn’t get serious about playing until I was 19. My musical influences are very broad but a couple of my favorite guitarists are Nick Valensi and Michael Guy Chislett. I know God has called me to be involved with worship, especially in youth worship.

Fun Facts:

-I was born March 8, 1988 in Garland Texas...at 10:31 pm.

-I love to eat Italian and Mexican food.

-Sushi is incredible.

-I don’t like long CAR rides...van rides are ok

-I enjoy rollercoaster’s

My name is Jordan Duncan, I’m 18 and am a singer for the YFN Worship team. I’ve been a camper at YFN the past 5 years, so it’s kind of crazy getting to see the other side of it as an intern. Having the opportunity to be in the band, I get to accomplish both of my passions, which are leading worship and working with youth.  I’m finishing up my first year at Christ For The Nations and plan on going to the third year School of Youth to become a youth pastor.  I was born and raised in Texas about an hour west of Dallas in Weatherford.  One random fact about me that many don’t know is that I have been a vegetarian for the past 8 years because meat physically makes me sick, not for animal rights reasons. I tend to find random things really funny and my friends say that I laugh too much.
